The calm before the storm

Nantasket Beach, 1:30 p.m., about a half hour before the rains started in earnest. There were a few body surfers, a guy flying a kite and some people just hanging out, underneath some dramatic clouds. We had lunch at the Red Parrot, which had several specials, including a Bloody Irene cocktail.
