No more doubting Thomas - or any other Bruin

Tanya Ray Fox sums up:

They have been tired, beaten, disrespected and doubted. They've been bitten, taunted and criticised for their style. Yet they fly back to our city Thursday with the Stanley Cup: the 7th time a major Championship will belong a Boston team since 2002. It wasn't easy, it wasn't pretty, and Boston fans wouldn't have it any other way.

Rollzroix tweeted from the Orange Line this morning:

Pulling into N. Station Orange Line conductor announced "transfer to commuter rail and home of the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins."

In contrast to Vancouver, Boston had minimal arrests. The Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports five people will be arraigned on general stupidity charges today in Boston Municipal Court. Boston Police report at least three of the five were from out of town: Two guys from Andover and one from New Hampshire charged with walking down Endicott Street in the North End snapping off car mirrors.

They won one for Cam Neely.

Mike Ball explains why he was glad to live in Hyde Park last night, rather than in his old haunts at Charles River Park.

The Outraged Liberal: There's only one thing that could force the Sal DiMasi conviction off the Herald front page:

The Bruins hoisting the Cup reminds us that at its soul, Boston has always been a hockey town. And that means, for at least one day, the soul is at peace thanks to the masterful, if agita-inducing way the club worked its way through the playoffs.

Teddy Kokoros: First Cup Win of my lifetime and I could not think of a better collection of players to do it.

John Carroll posts his highlights from the game and series:

Is there a more standup guy in the NHL than Tim Thomas? (Plus, love Thomas's description of his style of goaltending as "battlefly".)

Globe: Raise the Cup.
Herald: Bruins reign supreme.
