Hasn't the poor guy suffered enough indignities in his life in Franklin Park? The Globe reports the gorilla was unable to pick between the Patriots and Giants so the zoo had to swap in some substitute gorilla for the dumb stunt.

pathetic here - the Franklin Park Zoo pulling such an idiotic stunt for more publicity, or the Globe for actually considering such an idiotic stunt to be newsworthy.

Europe was transfixed by an octopus picking winners during the World Cup. I think you can cut the zoo and the Globe some slack. It's not like the story prevented you from reading about the misery of your choice.
