Bochwhoring: How many references to the car guy can the Track Gals do in one week?

The week's Bochwhoring Index stands at 2.

Yesterday, of course, the Gals mentioned Boch Jr.'s celebrity roast and then, today, they used an on-air tiff between the roast host and some DJ we're relieved to see is still alive to play up the Norwood resident's name (in the headline, in a reference in the column, in an accompanying photo and, online, a clip from the roast - hmm, so should that make the Index a 6?).

than the fact that this city is sorely lacking in "real" celebrities. Hence someone who would barely warrant the copy space in NYC or LA gets tons of mentions here.

Add to that two morons who have the journalistic integrity of Fox News and you have a winning formula for success!

Case in point; a few months ago I stupidly mentioned to a friend in social media that I was driving a major celeb that weekend. Well, another of my friends read it and passed that fact along to one of the two gossip sows and suddenly I found a note from one of the "gals" in my inbox.

Without revealing any of the juicy details, I was asked by someone I don't know in the media to risk losing my job to provide them with a "scoop". Seeing how the only real scoops these hacks seem to obtain come from Friendly's, I did not respond. Did that matter to them that I could have lost a job and ruined my reputation in their quest to keep providing Herald readers with celeb news and the latest on the Andelmans and Ernie Boch,Jr ? Obviously no, for who am I compared to them??

Glad to see they obviously don't wear down the old Payless shoe leather in chasing down a story...

you should have told them it was dicaprio and he was having a secret dinner with gisele. that would have made their fat heads explode.

A good publicist would get Ernie Jr. to cut that skeevy hair.

I'll have to devote some time this weekend pondering the question of whether Ernie is turning into a creepy Uncle at a faster rate than Mattie Siegel did at his age?

The Herald's Ernie Boch Jr. saturation coverage was even worse on Sunday 4/29/12. I had a good laugh when the Track Gulls mentioned that Boch is now with Enza Sambatarro. Isn't she the Bloomingdale's shoplifter who falsely claimed to be married to Kevin Youkilis and even changed the name of her kid (from a previous relationship to another car dealer) to Youkilis? This after a fling with Ben Affleck? These two deserve each other.
