Back Bay to get new skyscraper

The BRA has approved a 58-story hotel and condo project on the edge of the Christian Science Center at Belvidere and Dalton, the Globe reports.

Boston seems like the only city where all tall builds are commercial only. Be a nice addition. Although, from the ground, that triangular parcel doesn't look all that big...

There's already a equilateral-triangular tower of a similar size on the opposite corner of Dalton and Belvidere.

Besides building these two towers, the CSC also wanted to make the reflecting pool shallower and build a walkway through the middle of it. Can you update us on those plans, or are they dead? (A lot of folks disliked them.)
