Connolly: City Hall hardly Boston's Finest

John Connolly came out swinging tonight at a campaign party at the Parker House. "City Hall makes 'Southie Rules' look like a serious news show," he said referring to what he considers a major lack of transparency in city government.

The Globe has more details on the event. The Herald was there as well.

Connolly, an at-large city councilor, will face Will Dorcena and Charles Clemons this fall, and maybe incumbent Tom Menino.

Connolly should publish his open Boston City Gov't reforms and let the public comment in order to make them more AWESOME.

Has been part of the PROBLEM for years! Now that it's in his best interest he wants change.

Open government practices should include opening the Boston City Council with redesign of the communications practices. 100 or so City Council staff routinely deflect citizen enquiries with contempt for the interests, the concerns of people. As a candidate Councilor Connolly continues to block access to the plain English stenographic record of the Public Meetings of Boston City Council and failed to arrange Captioning on the webcasts of the Public Meetings for hard of hearing, deaf, ESL English as a Second Language, for all people.

is a member of the Deaf/HOH community filing a complaint with the US Dept of Justice/Civil Rights about lack of access. That would really get the ball rolling.

Maybe Tom Menino? Isn't it obvious he's running? You think he's going to hand over the reins of his kingdom to the likes of John Connolly? Not in a million years!

I suspect you're right about the mayor.
