Police in Canton say they've ended robbery runs on Dunkin's

Today was time to make the arrest, Canton PD reports: They say Isaiah Murphy is the man who's held up more than 20 Boston-area Dunkin' Donuts, including several in West Roxbury, in recent months.

Murphy was nabbed at his home around 10 a.m., police say, adding:

Evidence linking the suspect to many of the affected locations were uncovered.

Murphy is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow in Stoughton District Court.

Canton police note that, in addition to being home to two Dunkin' Donuts that were held up in the coffee spree, the town is also home to the chain's world headquarters.

Other jurisdictions may also have grounds to charge Murphy: Boston Police, other local police departments and the FBI were involved in the investigation, Canton Police say. A spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney's office says it will take some time for the evidence against him to percolate through the system before his office decides whether to charge him for the West Roxbury heists.

Innocent, etc.

Not sure if this is the same Isaiah, buuuut.....

A quick search on facebook lists him as a former Shift Leader at Dunkin Donuts. Living in Dedham

... will he be sentenced to a far cruller fate than most armed robbers?

Another "aspiring rapper"?

edit... On a hunch, I checked his Facebook "friends". One of 'em was arrested for boosting catalytic converters with his sister at the train station in Dedham a couple of years ago, and for dealing heroin in Providence earlier this year.

Nice find, Dave. I see four custom car rims in a couple of the Prophet Isaiah's FB photos but no car. Much like catalytic converters, rims are frequently stolen from T lots and elsewhere. I hope Transit and Dedham PD grab those rim pics to show victims of rim theft.

That a company is looking for.

Seriously, why rob only one kind of store?
