Scary stairs decked out for the season in Fort Point
By adamg on Thu, 10/17/2013 - 10:09am
Roving photographer DGA reports some Fort Point yarnbombers (spiderweb bombers?) have outfitted the rickety and long closed stairs at A Street up to Summer Street for the upcoming holiday. At least, we hope that's what happened; we'd hate to think of the spider that would have made those webs.

Maybe it is a trap?
The spider is waiting patiently for the Not Art guy to appear.
Heh.
"I got your art right here."
no link to originals?
On a related note, I've noticed that the [img] tag does not work in comments since the recent sw update.
Sorry, thought I'd fixed that
Will take a look this evening.
What's SOP for photos?
I did not post them on Flickr, I uploaded them from my phone to facebook, then downloaded from Facebook to email to Adam. The phone, which had a great camera originally, has seen better days. And I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook lowered the quality before giving them back to me too.

I had no idea those stairs were closed. I used to use them when I worked in that area, but it was a while back. I don't recall them being rickety. They were actually quite sturdy.
New ones
They built new ones across the street. The old ones were getting rather rusty and were not securely tethered into the masonry.
for the Open Studios Season!
Glad you are enjoying the cobwebs, the work of a Fort Point artist for Open Studios which starts Friday!
