The Herald reports police found Donta Lewis in a crawl space in his girlfriend's house; he's scheduled for arraignment this afternoon for his alleged role in the incident, in which two BPD officers were shot in the legs and a second suspect was shot to death.
Innocent, etc.

"On July 2, Lewis was in Dorchester District Court for a probation violation, but was released by the judge, according to his public defender."
What the hell does that mean?
What the hell does that mean? Nice job judge...
What a bunch of bullshit
That picture in the Herald of the officer in what appears to be an urban assault vehicle is just ridiculous. What purpose does it serve but to alienate an already uncooperative populace even more than they already are?
Call me old fashioned, but two beat cops patrolling a neighborhood and who are known to the residents are more effective than this bullshit show of force, IMHO.
You're right, but the war may be lost.
Sadly, "Serve and Protect" has been replaced by "Dominate, Intimidate, Control."
And the voting public seems, on the whole, OK with that.
True enough, anon, but
This:
is grossly unfortunate.

Boston Area Residents would be better served by A New Police Commissioner , Thank Goodness A New Mayor Soon. Too Much Corruption In the City Of Boston Especially The Police Dept.
