South Boston drug addict convicted of first-degree murder in death of neighbor

No possibility of parole, ever, for Adam Cassino, whom a Suffolk Superior Court jury has just convicted of first-degree murder for the death of Barbara Tagen, 65, in August, 2011, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Cassino came under suspicion when workers at the Bridgewater State Hospital program where he'd just been brought for treatment noticed blood on his shoes.

Prosecutors say Cassino beat her to death with a baseball bat.
