Brighton tree ninja captured on video

Hank investigates the tree-killing ninja of Brighton, who has been rampaging for years through the streets of Brighton Center with a large blade, making sure trees die. Residents and police seem powerless to stop him and cry, help us, Hank!

WTF is wrong with the Boston Police?

And people wonder why witnesses to gang murders don't want to talk to the police. They can't even protect some fucking TREES from a crazy middle-aged white guy. What the actual fuck.

He's been charged. He's been sent to Bridgewater. According to the earlier post that Adam linked,

(Sgt. Michael O'Hara of D-14) said the man has mental issues, but that nothing that is done for him at Bridgewater has stopped him from coming back to Brighton and going around looking for more trees to kill.

What more should BPD do?

.. the attention given to this by the blow dry news queen will embarrass city officials enough to dream something else up.

They get pretty riled when portrayed as ineffectual by a media form they assume still has some clout.

And his elderly parents are probably half in shock to see their lard bag dragged out for scrutiny in such a high profile venue.

Cue the various civil liberty ideologues with predictable hand wringing.

And lard bag hisself may be a bit nervous after seeing his ass shadow on Teevee.

Lots of body shaming in this post. Sorry he doesn't conform to your perfect ideal of ninja beauty. If Chris Farley taught us anything, it's that ninjas can come in all shapes and sizes.

He's probably fat because of all the drugs he takes for his mental health problems, than more drugs to counter-act the bad side effects of the other drugs, and so-on, and so-on. He's being treated 'in the community', pumped full of drugs. Overall, it 'saves' $ rather than build and appropriately staff psychiatric hospitals and provide decent. Of course, if we treated unstable people like this at inhouse facilities, institutionalized them if necessary, community 'advocates' and 'progressives' will scream they deserve their freedom to be living under a bridge or attacking trees in the dead of night. Both main political parties in this country have conspired to create the current status quo in regards to public mental healthcare.

What more should BPD do?

Arrest him again?

Or just shrug and say "Oh, well, we tried."

What's his address? I'm going to go chop down the trees around his house so they fall on it.

So a known mentally unstable man is allowed to walk around with a "large blade" yet perfectly competent individuals have to clear a veritable spartan race of bureaucratic red tape just to get a license to carry.

Also, a known mentally unstable man can't get the help he probably needs because the budget only allows for him to go to bridgewater, have a doctor stop in to visit him 3 or 4 times and declare there's nothing more they can do before sending him on his way.

The whole system is broken...

We need a Brighton Lorax.

...but what's really needed is a blanket party.

needs to stake out some trees and then wire them up with a power line. Once he starts hacking hit the power button! My Uncle used to do that to his bird feeders - the squirrels stopped stealing the bird feed!

Tree outside the Registry office in Roslindale Sq has been hacked of its bark which will cause it to die. These are small saplings as well.
