Fire officials ordered the evacuation of 131 Tremont St. at lunchtime after people in the Gentle Dental office on the ground floor began complaining of eye irritation.

A department spokesman says:

We evacuated the building because of the unknown reason why this was happening. Our haz mat technicians went through the office and building with
meters and all meters were negative. We turned building back over to property manager after about 90 minutes of investigating.

First time I got a bridge, I asked if I could take home the four teeth that were removed. I was told "No, there are rules concerning their disposal. They're considered toxic waste."

Maybe someone had a tooth pulled and it bounced out into the waiting room, prompting alert dental hygienists to shout, "Hit the floor! It's a live one!"
