As holders of most of the world's debt, an industrial and military giant, do you really think they care what the non-existent 'world community' (that can't seem to confront the most basic evils or challenges) cares?

Their might is based on stability. That the world knows that things could become unstable in the most stable part of their kingdom will cause concern.
