On the menu of a local Chinese carry out they include Peking Duck. That Peking is still used struck me as interesting. But then I asked myself whether I would want to eat Beijing Duck.

Not to be that guy but...are you not supposed to feed the ducks? There are signs everywhere. I'm sure some duck expert can tell us why.

Free range ducks, all natural, killed fresh daily by guys lurking around at night in the Public Garden with large canvas bags. It's like urban farming.... only for sketchy restaurants. Seagulls too.

feeding the ducks. Apparently they don't want the ducks geese etc. relying on humans to feed them. They need to migrate, forage naturally..

Plus, if the ducks leave anything behind it leaves food for the nocturnal wildlife that usually forages in the trash.

Yes - please don't feed the ducks or the geese or the swans. They do just fine by themselves without our help.
