Is the Orange Line traveling near the speed of light?

How else to explain the apparent time dilation on the Orange Line this morning, in which the T is reporting only "minor delays" due to signal issues at Oak Grove. Or as Joe explains:

Aaaaaand to summarize, sat in my seat at 6:59 at Oak Grove, arrived Ruggles 7:58.

If everyone could just agree that the T management has shit for brains who could all stop posting...

During the WGBH discussion of whether the T would be improved in preparation for the Olympics the current GM Beverly praised the value of a expanded bus system the subway systems continues to deteriorate. Given that bus lines were shortened and eliminated talk of an expansion makes little sense.

As for time and the T the signs indicating when the next train will arrive are dubious. At Green St. the next Oak Square train is always somewhere between the next train arriving and the traing following that one. When the difference is 1 and 13 minutes its anyone's guess when the train will arrive.

Forest Hills trains will run within 1 minute of each other rather than being spaced out. Always wonder if T management understands the idea fo averaging out the trains.

The T runs in its own universe by its owns rules of thermodynamics and physics.

It's a sad comment about our state - and our tax priorites that an agency which afffects hundreds of thousands daily looks and runs in such a state of decrepitude.

The Orange Line is becoming the model of inefficiency.

I'd swear there are no more than 4-5 trains on the entire circuit!

I agree, but I don't think this is anything new. It's been a while since I bothered to check the schedule, but late at night, there's only four trains an hour.

It is an employment agency first and a transit agency second.

Red Line hell this morning when stated minor southbound delays due to disabled train at downtown crossing. Northbound trains on both Ashmont and Braintree branches were affected and T stated minor northbound delays due to that same disabled train at downtown crossing that was originally stated on the southbound track.

Orange Line then decided to FAIL as they said minor southbound delays due to a signal problem. Couldn't even explain where the signal problem was on the line. Then decided to upgrade the delays to moderate causing even more problems. My usual 10 mins ride from north station to back bay turned into a 40 mins ride.
