If they didn't want that to happen, why'd they put that sign up egging drivers on?

Beacham Street turns sharply left just before this DD. If you don't make the turn, you'll smash right into the place, like this truck did.

The WBZ report says that the driver had a "medical condition". If he blacked out due to stroke, heart attack, seizure, etc., it would explain this accident.

causing him to pass out, just calling for a caramel Coolada and a coffee roll. Starbucks has the bigger sugar rush with their caramel frappachino however.

I saw on WBZ-TV at 5, they interviewed a witness who noticed the truck was going very slowly (only 10 to 15 mph) before it missed the turn and hit the Dunks. That would be consistent with the driver suddenly passing out.

You can't swing a dead cat tractor trailer around here without hitting a Dunks.

I am the owner of the car that was hit by the tracker trailer at Dunkin Donuts that day in Chelsea, I had just gotten into the driver seat of my car with my coffee and handed my friend that was sitting in my passenger seat his coffee when all of a sudden we were struck by the tracker trailer, I tried to grab the steering wheel to brace myself cause the truck was dragging my car with it and going into the front of the Dunkin Donuts store, from nowhere security guards working near by rushed over and tried to revive the truck driver as he was laying on the ground unconscious and got us out of the car and away from the vehicles as fuel was leaking everywhere and feared an explosion, within minutes we were surrounded by fire engines, police vehicles, camera crews, helicopters, it was like something out of a movie, I was released from MGH Boston late yesterday with a concussion and soft tissue damage, my friend also suffered non life threatening injuries and are grateful to be alive! I'm still praying that the driver of the truck is ok!

Glad you're ok. How frightening. I worked in Chelsea for many years and am familiar with the dunks in town. It's amazing that no one in the store was injured.
