Bedford man charged with sexually attacking one woman, attacking another with pair of scissors near Harvard Square

A Bedford man was charged with attacking two women on Mass. Ave. near Harvard Square around 7:20 p.m. yesterday, Cambridge Police report.

Police say they are now looking at whether Ronald Cattouse, 47, had anything to do with two other sexual assaults, one around 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 26 on Garden Street, the other around 7:35 p.m. on Aug. 28 in Brattle Square.

According to police, two women were walking along Mass. Ave. just north of Harvard Square when Cattouse "grabbed a 27-year-old female’s breast and then used a pair of scissors to cut the hand of the victim’s friend."

Police arrested Cattouse at the scene. He was charged with indecent assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
