If you drive, the Annunciation Church has a few spaces reserved for people accessing the woods.

This great spot has a serious unleashed dog problem
That's b/c for years the
That's b/c for years the majority of ppl that used it had dogs b/c so many ppl thought of it as unsafe and dirty. Once the ppl with dogs started to clean it up (yes, literally. They would come with bags and clean up the trash/glass that was all over the place on a weekly basis - horrid dog owners!). Actually there were a lot of dogs, little kids, parents and non parents that got along just fine.
About 7 years ago a teen program then came in and marked some of the paths that were there, moved rocks around, etc. They tried to block off the drinking areas. They did a nice job and were welcoming of everyone - dogs, kids, etc.
The bigger issue is the teen drinking spots in there. They would smash their beer bottles all over the place never mind the fact that they will drive there, get shittied and then drive out.
