The cone seems like a bit of overkill

Who's going to park in a space with that demon pedestal staring at them? Kyle photographed it on Bynner Street, near South Huntington in Jamaica Plain, the other day.

The cone is a safety measure so somebody doesn't hit the pedestal thing at night or during the day because it blends in with the snow. Very considerate! The cone alone would be too easy to move.

And you are very dumb and too quick to pass judgment. The "pedestal" is not stone nor marble nor anything of the kind. So keep your pity judgement elsewhere. So relax your head, it won't damage anyone's car.

I live right near this, and actually saw them taking it out of their car. Took about 20 minutes and blocked the street (it's a super-small two-way) for that whole time.

Epoxy it in place....
And
They can put one of those urban parklets right next to it.
