Little dog in car stolen in West Roxbury may be wandering around Roslindale

UPDATE: Pooh, alleged car thief, both found.

Boston Police report a thief took advantage of a dog walker's decision to leave his car running in a client's driveway at 585 Baker St yesterday afternoon by stealing the car - which meant he also made off with Pooh the dog.

Pooh, a 10-year-old shih tzu/poodle mix, was spotted around 8 p.m. on Sycamore Street just outside Roslindale Square.

The thief tried using the victim's credit card around 3 p.m. at the Newton Highland commuter-rail stop and then about 40 minutes later at the Dunkin' Donuts at 1955 Beacon St. in Brighton. The card was declined in both cases.

The stolen car is a dark gray 2011 Subaru Outback with a Thule ski rack on the roof and a dog partition in the rear.

If you see Pooh, contact the owner.

Hope they find the dog.

There is something about the design/color scheme of that poster that is so much like pop-up ads on web sites that it didn't even register in my head that it _wasn't_ an ad until about the third time I visited uhub.
