For the last half hour or so, I've seen & heard a couple helicopters hovering over Brighton, southwest of my house in Union Square Allston. Wondering if this man is what they seek.

I think they could possibly be there covering a car that hit a house on Etna St.
But who knows. Whatever the reason I wish the loud ass ghouls would go elsewhere.

Mr. Rivera, that Etna Street crash and some sort of issue on the turnpike (there's also a two-car crash on the BU Bridge at Comm. Ave., but that happened after the copters started coptering).

It was the Etna Street crash I suppose, based on the oh so informative aerial photograph that shows... not much, because it's dark and blurry.

We put out Amber alerts for missing kids, do they do anything similar for missing seniors in cases like this?

And yes, we've had to use them on my mom. I wish they were broadcast like Amber Alerts, however.

Amber alerts are for abductions not appropriate for wanderers- hope he gets home safely.

Silver alert is what they call them... Wondering why it hasn't been done!

Time for his family to get him the watch with a gps. They were created for folks with Alzheimer and dementia. I believe the device can be activated for Police to find the lost loved one.

The Alzheimers Association has a 'safe returns' program.

I hope the gentleman is found safe and soon.

We had a GPS that attached to my dad's key ring. We charged it every night and when he dressed each morning we handed him his keys, which made him feel like he still had a lot of control over his life.. We could easily track him on our smart phones. When we pulled up beside him him after he bolted, he would most always be ready for a ride. If he wasn't, we would walk with him or follow him, depending on his mood. Local Law enforcement has a Alzheimer/Dementia registration that we filled out as well. We are also lucky to have AMAZING neighbors that frequently would see him go out for his "strolls" before we even knew he bolted, when he was just sitting on the front porch watching the world go by, and walk along with him until they could steer him back home.
