An E Line trolley gave up the ghost at MFA, a Red Line train went express to Valhalla on the Braintree branch and an Orange Line train turned blue at Green. Or as MBTA Haiku put it:
Holiday season
Kicks off with a delayed train.

Not to mention musical trains
on the C line. Westbound C train was packed leaving North Station about 8:40. We managed to squeeze a few more on at Haymarket. Then, we stopped outside of Government Center so they could short turn another C train in front of us. Got to Park Street, and were held for five minutes for "schedule adjustment" - because of the other C train they intentionally short-turned.
Traffic isn't much better
The Williams and Sumner were so backed up today that I just turned around and went home, and let my boss know I'd be working from the couch. I'd imagine this will extend to 93 South and Storrow as well.
