Possibly the last person who should have tried the 'Do you know who I am?' gambit with police

The Globe reports that Joseph Amoroso, the biological father of Bella Bond, was arrested at the South Bay Home Depot today on shoplifting charges after he allegedly tried walking out with, among other things, two pairs of fingerless gloves.

Innocent, etc.

Also found. Can somebody please ship this scumbag sperm donor back to whatever rock he crawled out of when he found out that a baby, that he knows as well I did, had died? Thanks.

He's just as arrogant as many of the other criminals who get to walk free. What does "do you know who I am" even pertain to? I guess that just the dope in his system taking. What a freak

The "do you know who I am?" line. That, his charm, or a high from a clean, new set of works.

except it's not at all. Lowlife scum.

His statements after the arrest of Baby Bella's Mom said the two met during Occupy Boston and shared loving moments in a tent. It was beautiful. That's where she was conceived. And no one wrote at the time that these people were an aberration to the flock. Apparently they were representative. Pretty much confirms what I thought about the Occupy movement.

And Liz Warren and Bernie claimed to be the embodiment of their legacy.

Now, on the other side, we have to deal with Trump and his crew. At least we and the media denounce those scumbags.

Where can I go to get away from it all? The bile in my stomach is ready to explode.

Yes, yes, everyone in the Occupy Movement is represented by this one couple you know about. Come on, think critically. Not w/ your stomach.

The same level of "reporting" puts JP Resident in the dugout the night Grady Little left Pedro in the game an inning too late. Pretty much confirms what I've thought about him all along. The bile in my stomach is ready to explode.

You feel that way about another poster with a differing opinion?

It's nice to be noticed and be thought about! I can't say I've ever quite noticed you though.

I swear, you people are so easy!

People call Sanders a socialist. Actual socialists would refer to the Occupy Movement as the Lumpenproletariat, which is seen as an impediment to actual "class consciousness" and revolution.

All those Occupy nits, all those Mic.com articles, all those Change.org petitions, are about as likely to lead to revolution as I'm likely to win an Oscar.

The TV camera crews are gone, so now he can resume his life as a scummy absentee father.

He just buried the daughter he didn't get to know and wasn't thinking - stealing tools from a job site would have been a lot less risky.

What was he planning to do with that band saw he was stealing? Do we really want to know?

Fence it most likely. Tool theft is big nowadays because they're easily-portable high-value items.

Yeah we do.. and we don't want to know you.

She never had a chance, did she? :(

...are you just coming to this conclusion now? :)

She had about as much chance as the child of Adrian Peterson's who was beaten to death a few years ago.

The Long Island replacement shelter is a block down the street from South Bay on Southampton Street. He doesn't seem to have a history of stable housing.

He's probably not living there but in the neighborhood to pick up some drugs. He has a bit of history with that and the area is stinky with it.

He really should be chemically castrated (or hell, just whack his testicles with a hammer a few times) but this is a bit of piling on someone who is already beneath contempt and not worth your notice.

Journalisticly I think it's bad form. This wasn't the "do you know who I am" ploy of drunken starlets and millionaire assholes trying to get out of something. This was the pathetic comment of a loser trying to grab on to the one happenstance that might make him stand out from the sea of lost zombies roaming the area and encountered by the cops. They had already arrested him so it's not like he would be getting out of it. The Globe even went so far as to highlight his vocab skills:

While Amoroso was being taken to be booked, he allegedly told officers, “I was just waiting for my uncle; I never left the vesticle.” He apparently meant the “vestibule.”

How is that relevant to the story? Why include it? Because it gives us all a chance to look down on this piece of shit even more than we already do. As if a malapropism that sounds like balls will really lower our opinion of some slime-bag who comes out of the woodwork to try and build notoriety on his never-seen or cared-about daughter's murder.

There, now I've spent way more time thinking about this pathetic loser than I ever wanted to.

Because it's the suspect giving their side of the story. And the lawyer-run paranoid media can't just arbitrarily correct a mispronounced word in a quote.
