Scrooge's heart didn't grow three sizes in Somerville that day

Missing snowman in Somerville; bring him back, you Scrooge

Spatch spotted this sign on Wallace Street near Davis Square today.

UPDATE: Karen Kneeland writes (in the comments): "It was a 5' tall three piece metal frame with plastic filament and multiple lights. He had black eyes (like coal) an orange nose and a stove pipe hat. And my granddaughter loved it."

We've had no significant snowfall since early spring, and any snow that did fall last month surely melted during the very warm Christmas weekend.

It was not a plastic snowman! It was a 5' tall three piece metal frame with plastic filament and multiple lights. He had black eyes (like coal) an orange nose and a stove pipe hat. And my granddaughter loved it.

After the last 15 months, I'd be more willing to bet it's an Olaf like this one.

While I think it would be hilarious if someone were indeed hollering at the weather scrooge to bring back the melted snowman, the truth is there are several lovely light-up holiday displays along Wallace Street and sadly this house's display had a snowman which was ransacked.

I'd like to see resolution to the umbrella situation from just before Christmastime.

Do you want to steal a snowman? It doesn't have to be a snowman...
