Woman killed young mother by stabbing her repeatedly in the back, DA says

Boston Police report arresting Takisa Williams, 30, of Dorchester, today for the Oct. 18 stabbing death of Maria Sanchez.

Williams was ordered held without bail at her arraignment today on a charge of murder in Dorchester District Court, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

According to the DA's office, Sanchez and a relative were at an after-hours party when the relative got into a verbal dispute with a member of Matthews' group.

That dispute soon escalated to include Sanchez and other members of Matthews' group. When the party ended and those present made their way outside, the altercation became physical.

Outside the residence, [Assistant DA Lynn] Feigenbaum said, Matthews fought with Sanchez' relative and stabbed her repeatedly in the torso. Those injuries were serious but not fatal. Matthews then walked over to Sanchez, who was fighting with another woman. While Sanchez was fighting, Matthews allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the back.

Innocent, etc.

Its so sad how one moment can change life forever. May the victim's daughter and family find peace as their lives go on. I couldn't imagine leaving my young child behind without me. How many regrets must go through your mind as it's happening, the "if only" things.
This suspects life will be ruined also if she's convicted, but she will have to pay for being out of control to the point of murder.
I wish we could all find more love, patience, and kindness in ourselves and others instead of viciousness and petty trivial gripes.
