Jack Williams deserves praise for his Wednesday's Child feature that facilitated hundreds of adoptions in this state, especially after Catholic Charities was put out of business for refusing to hand over small children to the gay community.

That said, like many others, I stopped watching channel 4 in the early stages of the War on Terror. Check how the ratings dived. When something would go wrong on the U.S. side (as always happens in war) Williams would pause, look up at the camera, parse his lips and slowly shake his head. Of course with far more deaths under Obama, there was hardly a word and no added, somber body-language. By now, his former sidekick Liz Walker had already openly joined the Obama campaign.

No surprise, he and his entire family are already living in Nevada. No ties here. Special credit for the day of the Boston marathon bombing when the "elite" Boston media said that since it was April 15th (tax due date) the bomber might be a Republican who hates taxes. Farewell, Jack. Ch. 4 ratings will someday recover.

I will miss Jack. A great anchor and a great man. Compared to channels 5 & 7, Jack was the best!

Best of luck in your semi retirement. I hope it's not the last we hear of you!

(I don't think he's in Nevada, at least I know where his house on the Cape is).
