Those building numbers are pretty high for Boston's short streets of days gone by.

This would be where Marketplace Center is now, the northerly side of State Street between the Custom House and Atlantic Avenue.

The Plymouth Creamery was at 272 State Street, which matches with the numbers on the buildings.

That'd put it by Long Wharf, and based on the building numbers shown at http://www.wardmaps.com/viewasset.php?aid=3573, these buildings probably came down when the Central Artery was built.
