Arrest warrant issued for brother of Auburn cop murderer - over vinyl siding work

UPDATE: Zambrano appeared in court this afternoon and paid $4,000 in restitution. He now has until Oct. 28 to pay the rest.

A judge in West Roxbury Municipal Court today issued an arrest warrant for Giancarlo Zambrano for failing to repay a woman for vinyl-siding work that he nevr did at her home on Child Street in Jamaica Plain, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Zambrano, whose career-criminal twin brother, Jorge, shot and killed Auburn police officer Ronald Tarantino before he committed suicide by cop, was put on pre-trial probation last year on condition he repay the JP resident at least half the $7,000 in question by April 28 of this year. According to the DA's office:

When he failed to meet that condition, prosecutors put the case back on track for trial and Zambrano was ordered to appear today..

Which he didn't.

Zambrano could be facing issues related to his brother's actions, as well. The Globe reports he is dating a probation officer who previously came under investigation for leaking court information to criminals.

Innocent, etc.

I wonder if this will generate as many comments and as much outrage as the article about the cop on Bolyston Street did.

Larceny / business dispute involving heretofore anonymous contractor doesn't really grab most people the same way video of an aggressive police officer kneeling on a scrawny nebbish does, especially when that officer seems to admit that he committed the traffic violation precipitating the whole thing and that nebbish didn't hurt anyone.

I'm definitely not in the ZOMFG-jail-that-cop crowd, but come on bro.

so in a sense, he was doing the woman a favor.

But no, it's not as outrageous as a cop chasing someone down and assaulting them.

And it's directed at our great legislature, who padded Probation with their patronage. Of course, they "don't see what's wrong with that". They're just "looking out for their constituents".

Does anyone know if we can find out from the O'Brien felony trial documents, exactly who recommended Ms Losapio for her job. I suspect a Representative or two, but in her case, maybe it was just her father the judge... Regardless, O'Brien then kept her on the job despite lots of reasons not to.

Patronage = cess-pool, and this all traces back up to our elected representatives.

How does a random homeowner get prosecutors to become interested in a dispute with a contractor who never did the work?

And you file a complaint.

The story about Giancarlo's girlfriend (whose father is a judge) was originally reported by Turtleboy Sports. It's quite interesting; Turtleboysports.com.
