Are you old enough to remember the Boeing trolleysnwe had in the 70s and 80s? Talk about crap.

The Boeing LRVs. I remember them only on the C Line.

The Globe reports somebody threw a switch while the trolley was still going over it.

This is becoming like Sodor, where something or another derails every half hour.

There was planned track work at BC yesterday and today:

"For Green Line B branch service at Boston College Station, please board at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Lake Street on Sunday, October 30, and Monday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to track work."

Did something go wrong with a crossover they don't normally use?

Yes. Trains normally loop at BC, but due to the scheduled track work, they were reversing using the crossover in question instead.

And someone for some reason threw the switch while the trolley was passing over it, causing this derailment.
