Zachary Marr's body recovered from Charles River lock

Marr

State Police tonight recovered the body of Zachary Marr, a 22-year-old Harvard man who was seen leaving the Bell in Hand early on Feb. 13 and then spotted by a surveillance camera falling through a gap in the train bridge to and from North Station.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports:

Boston Police have made notifications to that man's family. Preliminary evidence does not immediately suggest violent trauma, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death.

Sympathy for his family and friends. Saw his dad on TV when he first went missing, he appeared devastated and heartbroken.

I hope that this at least provides the family with some closure, even though it is not the outcome that anyone wanted.

I'm gonna give my young men an extra hug tonight.

Adam, can you give us some good news?

The good news is that there isn't a serial killer targeting drunk men in Boston. Its not good news for his family who will have to deal with this senseless death for the rest of their lives.

I guess I knew deep down that that's where he would eventually be found the way the rescue crews have been paying so much attention to the river this last month. But like everyone else, I kept a secret hope that it wouldn't be true.

Rest In Peace young man, and my deep condolencees to your family and friends.

and he made a compassionate plea to all parents to hug their children and tell them that you love them. My heart aches for their loss. Such a shame.
