Delays on the Orange Line were stunning, when one train simply stopped running

Shortly before 8 p.m., a train crawled into a hole at Sullivan and refused to come out, causing the dreaded "severe" delays.

Meanwhile, a Green Line trolley died at Boylston and a Red Line train flatlined at Porter. But at least the Blue Line kept things snappy.
