I've seen a lot more wildlife lately because a lot of animals are on the move looking for forage and water (and the animals that hunt those animals follow).

Our neighbor has been putting out a small tub of water (daily refresh to prevent skeeters) and it has been drawing a number of creatures. I don't have a camera on it or I'm sure that we would see more. Spotted at the watering hole: Stripe Family Skunk, bambi and friends, rabbits, raccoons, a fox, and even a coyote. Plus, doubles as a bird bath!

If you live somewhere that you won't be drawing creatures into conflict with humans or other creatures, it might be good to put out water right now. This is a pretty much unprecedented drought for the region and many of our fellow creatures without faucets or thumbs are at their limits of their ability to adapt. (One of my coworkers said that the raccoons have figured out how to turn on her outdoor faucet!)
