Why would the frog need goggles? And while I'm on the subject, would someone who's a life-long Bostonian please answer me this: why do half the frog sculptures in that playground have snorkeling gear? Frogs are aquatic critters, aren't they?

Efficient response to Charles River water quality issues of the last few decades. Surprised they aren't in wetsuits.
