Getting ready for a mighty wind at Forest Hills

Ventillation fan being installed at the Forest Hills MBTA station

Deb Beatty Mel had some time to study one of the massive ventilation fans being installed at Forest Hills as the T's contractors work to build a new Orange Line/commuter rail entrance on the other side of the tunnel under the impending revamped Arborway.

Speaking for most men, I would like to own one of those.

Speaking for me alone, at the very least I would like to stand around it with some other men to discuss it. I currently have the longest facial hair I have ever sported and find it natural to occasionally tweak my jawline to my chin with my thumb and index finger. I figure that sort of mannerism not only compliments a good observation session, but is probably expected. I squint and nod pretty good too.

I would like to join your observation session, if you'll have me. I like to look at things while I drink a beer. Sometimes I might make chewing movements, even if there's nothing in my mouth, or I'll keep sipping from the beer bottle, even though it's empty, just to keep my hands occupied. Depending on the crowd, I could bust out some dad jokes too: "I'm not a big fan. But that certainly is."

Back Bay Station needs these. Not only for the commuter rail platform, but for the infamous sister of the 7th circle of Hell better known as the men's room.
