Man shot dead was brother of woman killed in Mattapan Massacre

A man who narrowly escaped death himself the week after his sister and her young son were murdered in 2010 was identified as Boston's latest murder victim.

Boston Police report the man shot to death on Astoria Street in Mattapan on Saturday was Andrew Flonory, 31.

Flonory was the brother of Eyanna Louise Flonory, who, along with her young son, Amanihotep Smith, was shot to death in the 2010 Mattapan Massacre.

A week after the massacre, Andrew Flonory narrowly escaped death when he was shot repeatedly as he sat at the Ashmont station bus stop.
