Who remembers that this happened: "On October 2, 1978, Allen was arrested in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport for possession of over 650 grams (1.43 lb) of cocaine."

But that was the seventies! Sniffing cocaine was fashionable, especially among the Studio 54 crowd!! However, then the 80s arrived and it turned a little darker when people started cooking the powder down to crack which started the Crack Epidemic. Now it's the 2000s and it's the Opioid Epidemic. Kalamazoo is not immune to drugs. Why should we be surprised when these dealers are connected all over the place -- with relatives and friends from California to Mexico to Dominican Republic to Boston to Maine - with other soldiers and traffickers moving their ware.
