1. Everyone should give Ian Cooke (BLS '87) a huge amount of thanks for the work he has done over the past 20 years working as head of the Neponset River Watershed Association, without a lot of bombast, to push the clean up of the Neponset.

Most of your pollution in the Neponset is from the upstream suburbs and contamination left over from industrial users in Walpole, Norwood, and Canton, not from Boston and Milton. The NepRWA has worked on clean ups and stream restoration to make the river a better place.

2. Should somebody really being flying a drone this close to the X-Way? It is a major helicopter route and by the bridge you are in the descent area for most of Logan's landings as well as being awfully close to a landing beacon for the airport.

It looks to be outside of the five mile zone, per Massport's map. Though, being on the cusp, it's probably a good idea to notify Logan regardless. Other than that, as long as it's kept under 400 feet, they're within the area's drone operation guidelines.

This is my video- This is completely legal, flying very low (way below the 400 foot limit) and more than 5 miles away from Logan. Occasionally helicopters fly over the Xway - they take that route to get downtown or to hospitals (medflights) but they're generally higher, and you can hear them coming. I'm also not flying over the X-way. There's no need to notify Logan of this kind of flight. When I hear a helicopter I come down to around 80 feet anyways, just in case.
