Newton temple could move in with Brookline synagogue

The Globe reports that Congregation Mishkan Tefila, which is selling its 24-acre Hammond Pond Parkway campus to BC, is near an agreement to share space with Congregation Kehillath Israel on Harvard Street in Coolidge Corner. The two congregations would retain their separate identifies.

Does "realize $20M" = "net after paying off mortgage or some other debt"?

Unless being near two conservation areas, being fronted on a DCR highway, and/or local zoning mean that much of the property cannot be developed - there is NO way 24 acres at such a location in this day & age should go for a sales price of "only" 20 million dollars.

I think the land is zoned as educational use only for 30 years or so.
