People who live in glass houses can no longer dream of moving to Faneuil Hall

Remains of the greenhouse at Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Adam Castiglioni watched the demolition of the old Faneuil Hall Marketplace greenhouse, no doubt to be replaced with something that better befits our world-class tourist destination.

I just walked through there on Sunday--the structure was still standing, but the fencing was in place and equipment ready to go. There were several renderings of the new replacement marketplace on the fencing. It's another glass structure, but a more modern design and more clear glass (not that 70's/80's angular glass design with dark glass). There was also signage with contact info for perspective vendors. I forget the exact wording, but remember it's alluding to wanting something more upscale.

I do believe that a Sephora was bandied about for a potential business. I think that it is supposed to also be a tear shaped white and bright building.

Since our Founding Fathers were known for their stunning cheekbones, gorgeous spray tans, and sleek hair.

Actually the stockings, powdered wigs, and tricorner hats were the height of fashion in the day.

Thomas Jefferson was quite the playboy.

It looks hideous:

Especially from the angle at which they chose to render it.
