That is a narrow platform as I again realized when my Orange Line train broke down yesterday morning, and we had to get off at Haymarket. Then trains were delayed as I waited for one at Tufts Medical at 6:30. At Haymarket a man got on and said that it must have taken firefighters a long time to extract the person from under the train. So something happened here. Yet the Globe and the local news had nothing. Does the MBTA refuse to release details? What is the purpose of local news any more? Is it to show the same hot button issues that every station shows, such as the dead gorilla, that don't even concern Boston? It is laughable if it wasn't so irritating. People around Boston have a tendency to scoff at the Midwest and red states in general, but almost all of them have better local news than the stations here. You don't even have to go that far, Albany has better local news.

Why do you need to know any details? Other than the system was borked?

Beyond that, how is it really any of your business?

Why? If someone was killed on the tracks after being hit by a train, you think that's no ones business? I understand how the T might want to cover this up, though.
