Roslindale shows major pent-up bagel demand

Line for bagels in Roslindale Square

You don't often see people lining up for anything in Roslindale Square, but as roving UHub photographer Chris Dagdigian found, an Exodus Bagels pop-up at Redd's in Rozzie this morning brought out the bagel-starved Roslindalians:

"Hope this encourages them to open a storefront," he says.

Those bagels put every other bagel I've ever had to shame, and yes I've been to many of New York and New Jersey's touted establishments. If he can figure out how to make them taste that good in mass production, he'll have a veritable bagel empire before long. They're phenomenonal.

Protective of the children, but a helmet while in a stroller? Really!

But maybe the kid just took a fall or has some medical condition that requires a helmet? Really!

Parent: come get in your stroller

Toddler: I NEED MY HELMET!!!

Parent: oh no - just the stroller, not the bike trailer

Toddler: I NEED MY HELMET!!!

Parent: whatever. (puts helmet on kid)

Files under "shit not worth fighting about". Gets on with day.

Some little kids have to wear a helmet to rehape their head, which can become flat from sleeping exclusively on their back. Probably sucks for them but maybe you can take a break from being judgey mcjudgster for a minute and let it just pass you by.

happy easter

Just look at those monstrous parents making their kids eat gluten instead of demanding bagels made with amaranth or spelt.

Next thing you know, we'll find out they're letting their kids eat nightshade family plants...

Is this salt organic?

Certainly not descriptive of attitudes among the enthusiastic foodsters of Rosi.

But in Roslindale, stroller rides are extreme events. Your question should be why the mother of the girl in the pink stroller didn't put a helmet on her.

But, yeah, what Swirly said. My son sent a week wearing a paper hat his teacher made for a book they read. I mean he wore it to school, at home, everywhere. Thankfully, he saw the issue at bath and bed time. Parents choose their battles, and since the only downside on this is being judged by the likes of you, the parents chose well.
