This made me snort, a great but gross misuse of type of buffet here... Sushi Buffet, BBQ Buffet etc. describes the food available... but mouse buffet?
But as long as there are tiny little plates provided I guess it is accurate.
a buddy of mine saw a big rat munching on a loaf of bread at the stop in shop in brighton. after running away screaming "like a little girl" (his words), he reported it to the people at the customer service desk. they seemed pretty unmoved, like it was an everyday occurrence to have rats eating the merchandise in plain sight of the customers.
Recently I reported a pile of doodie in the middle of the floor in the Shaws/Star by Packard's corner. A similar lack of response from them. I only hope it was someone's dog [nevermind how rude it is to bring a dog into the store] and not a human's.
A lot of their stores have really gone down hill. Seems like they will build a new store, and neglect older ones until it's time to rebuild that store at a new location.
I can't count how many times I've gone into a S&S and it's been dirty and not maintained well.
I'm really not surprised at all.
Still this is just gross. I feel bad for the shoppers, they really do deserve better than this.

Dot Rats
Grove Hall is considered Roxbury but many customers (and maybe rats) are from Dorchester
And remember this from 3 years ago?

Note to ISD. Check out AFB in Fields Corner, especially the area around the loading dock.
So that's
where the mice in our house went to. Better selection.

Yeah, I thought about that ...
But if you read the report, there was at least one mouse caught in a trap. Throw in a couple more and that's a platter right there.
Or at least
a Friskies Buffet.
I'm hosting a concert tonight

It isn't just apathy
These stores only seem to have 2-5 employees in them at a time. I've long wondered how they manage to keep the store up that way.
I guess that they don't.
Not a healthy situation, even one of the rats died.

yeah....food must REALLY be bad...
...if the rats are even dying from eating it.

Yuck!
How long is it going to be before Stop & Shop goes the way of Johnny's Food Master?
Are the rats unionized?
