Somerville Local First hosts Music & Makers at Arts at the Armory on Aug. 7

It’s a brunch + concert + makers market! Looking for something hip and local to do in the Boston area on a hot summer Sunday? There’s no better place to shop local, eat local, and support local music than at Somerville Local First’s Music & Makers Event on August 7th.

We will be kicking off the day at 10am with a Strength Training for Runners Workshop hosted by local fitness studio THE TRAINING ROOM, followed by a 3.1 mile run led by local run club, RUNFELLOW at 11am. The makers market opens 11am and runs until 4pm, with music by The Truckdrivin’ Neighbors Downstairs (classic country, 50s and 60s standards) from 12-3pm. This event is held at Arts at the Armory (191 Highland Avenue) in Somerville, MA, and is FREE, easily accessible by car or public transportation.

The following local vendors will be selling food, jewelry, accessories, art, ceramics, perfume, clothing, spices, and more! The bar will be open so you can sip while you shop!
