Time for the sun to maybe interfere with your cable TV picture again

RCN is alerting its customers they could have some cable issues for brief periods next week as the sun gets right behind the satellites it uses and overpowers the signals.

Between 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 through 12, the company says, the sun will be aligned right behind some satellites, which could cause from 5 to 45 minutes of issues, from pixellation to a frozen picture.

Does this happen to other cable companies, and I've just never hear about it before? Or is this an RCN problem?

Most cable companies use Headend In the Sky which has the same issue.

Solar flares will interfere with any cable/satellite company or TV station taking a live feed from the satellite during solar flares.

Thread diversion.

About once a year, I lose the ability to send texts or make phone calls. I have AT&T. I had the problem with my old Blackberry and now have the problem with my Android. It always seems to happen on foggy, clammy days. Definitely happens in the 02210, but I think it used to happen to me in the 02118/02116 'hood.

Anyone else?

Illuminati? Vast right wing conspiracy? Vince Foster? George Soros' secret marriage to one of the Koch Brothers?

I'm sure we can come up with some explanation that is sufficiently unhinged to disseminate on the intenets!
