First day of the new schedule on the Rockport/Newburyport line and things did NOT go smoothly.
Train #158 was late, fully packed with passengers and crew standing in the vestibules between every car, no lights, no heat, and come to find out, NO radio from the engineer. "Expressed" from Swampscott, then mysteriously stopped outside Chelsea for about 10 minutes, where the only information we got was from the crews' walkie-talkies..."Train #158...you got power there?? I think I hear the engine (!), well, we got nothin' up here, no signal, no radio...."
Thanks Keolis, for a swell way to start the week (NOT)
