When Harvard spills into Allston, students could get more time to get from class to class

The Crimson reports the U is looking at how to give students enough time to get from Class A to Class B when the undergraduate campus extends across two counties. One proposal includes simply spacing out classes more in general through "de-compression of the instructional week" - ending the current practice of scheduling as few classes on Fridays as possible.

Man large universities have figure this out already without scheduling 45 minutes between classes. Went to a big university - classes started on the hour and ended ten minutes before the hour. No administrators ever told us not to schedule classes across campus back to back. Nonetheless, everyone figured it out for themselves pretty quickly. Or they bought a bike.

On another point, it's time for Harvard, and all tax exempt non-profits, to start paying property tax on property held and used for non-exempt purposes. For instance, why should lab space owned by Harvard in Cambridge and leased to a private company be exempt from property tax?
