Boston snow emergency to end 8 a.m. on Friday

And you know what that means: Yep, residents can save their shoveled out spaces until 8 a.m. on Sunday - except in the South End, where space savers are banned, banned, banned. Also, parking will be OK on snow-emergency routes at 8:01 a.m.

Lets be honest, we'll be seeing space savers for at least a week

If the city doesn't send out trash trucks then, to remove all the spacesavers, everyone else should do it.

Yeah, I know some cracksmoking criminal psychos might vandalize, but they need to go to jail, and that kind of behavior needs to stop, for good. This year could be the year.

but I'll move any I see throughout the day Sunday.

In your own neighborhood? Just be careful cuz I and many of my neighbors have surveillance cameras. You don't want to be known as "that neighbor". I agree that savers are a nuisance but also think you should mind your business. You are not the parking police. If I want a spot that has a cone in it I'll move it. Just worry about yourself and put all that energy into something that matters.

impacts me as a car owner. Maybe you should be concerned about not being "that neighbor" who feels entitled to a private parking space after the 48 hour grace period expires. I'm really not too worried about your surveillance cameras, I'm just cleaning trash out of the street.

"That neighbor" who gets arrested because he did something illegal to someone else's car and was caught on surveillance camera

whats that movie where everything is legal for a day or whatever? i imagine thats what 8:01 am will be like

fuggit, some BU or Emerson student should just make a movie called 8:01 AM. with such an enigmatic title the possibilities are endless

i would like to star as a disgruntled local that defeats an out-of-towner by throwing hot dunks on his windshield & cracking it to bits please!

It's called "The Purge"

For a much better take on this concept, see Rick & Morty, "Look Who's Purging Now"

What's the over/under on how long it will take after the snow emergency is lifted for some Dunkin brain to put a space-saver out in a plowed space on a snow emergency street (presuming, of course, that the snow emergency street was actually plowed curb-to-curb)?

Before someone else blows the snow off his sidewalk back into that space.

Tomorrow would have been a way worse day for the parade than Tuesday.

for capitulating to the demands of the ego-centric and grossly overpaid PLAYERS who whined about vacation and family time being more important than attending a parade at a date and time that is best for the City and accommodates the fans.

The Krafts are overpaid maybe as owners in a cartel, but the players certainly aren't. What do you think Rob Gronkowski or Tom Brady would get in a true free agency without a salary cap system? A lot, lot more than they do now.

To be clear, we should have had the parade tomorrow requiring the city DPW to work overtime to completely clear out the streets along the parade route at the expense of the city neighborhoods so Patriots fans, most of whom of course live outside the city, can have a parade on the weekend? That seems like total nonsense honestly.

James White made @ $654,272 this year and was instrumental in helping the Patriots win the SB - how's he overpaid?

A teacher's starting salary is usually under $40,000.

Who is overpaid?

Disclosure: I actually am a sports fan.

but when you are willing and able to do something that a fraction of a percent of the population is willing and able that raises your value.

i mean, if you disagree, maybe teachers should just join the NFL for a couple of years to be financially stable. it is, seemingly, that easy after all.

It is a known fact that the New York Yankees have the most expensive payroll in MLB, yet they can't field a World Series team.

The NFL players get @ 48% of the NFL revenue and the 31 owners (and 1 coop type thing in Green Bay) get the rest. The total pot is $7.24B. But sure, it's the players that are overpaid not the 31 guys who own the teams.

That's your plan right, the players should get paid less which would mean the owners get more? Or are you magically going to just decrease the amount of money the NFL makes?

The parade was awesome! Millions of people had fun. You prefer to be miserable and to look for things to complain about. Good luck finding happiness.

Glad you had fun, but it was a million, at most.

You know, those at the parade, those watching from home, etc.
Yeah, millions of Patriots fans.
