Dog says this is fine: It's not the heat, it's the Green Line

The Green Line is hosed: "Severe" delays between Park and Kenmore due to signal problems. Riders reporting 30-minute waits - when they can get on a train at all. Power seems to be just draining into a black hole at Copley. Uber went into surge-pricing mode as complete strangers banded together to grab one.

I knew there was a serious problem when the board read "E) 4 STOPS AWAY." Took the Orange Line to Tufts Medical instead.

I had begun to think that all delays were referred to as moderate delays regardless.

Twelve minute headways at 8:30 am.

I didn't notice what the headways were but it was a solid 50 minutes to Downtown from Alewife at 7:30 this morning. I can't wait for this afternoon.

I know busses are dirty heathens, but they work quite a bit better when the trains aren't running. Plus there's taxi's, Uber, and easier car pooling.

Plus an hour on a subway / train is still better than three to get North / South / West while dealing with the same delays.

I was on the C line stuck between Hawes and St. Mary's for about 15 minutes before the driver just opened the door and started letting people off between the two stops. I ended up walking from there to Arlington, because I figured it would be faster than the train.
