Police: Peabody double-murder suspect carjacks man, drives into Roxbury to pick up some booze

WBZ reports police tracked Wes Doughty from Middleton, where he allegedly carjacked somebody and tied him up with a seatbelt, to Tremont Street in Roxbury, where he stopped to pick up something to drink at Hollywood Liquors - which let his victim untie himself and escape.

State Police report Doughty then drove away in the man's gray, 2006 Accord, Mass. plates 7KLY80.

I actually went to high school with this kid. When we all heard that he robbed a convenient store in Middleton back in the day and got our of jail, someone coined the phrase.. Outie like Wes Doughty. First thing I thought of when I heard about all this.

In a car, driving around for 3 hours with this character? While he's drinking?? I'd love to see a transcript of that conversation.

1. Doughty is still at large
2. A picture of him
3. the plate number, make, and model of the car

The way that your story and the MassLive stuff is written, it implies that he has been caught.

Look at my post again. The license plate is right in there. As for a photo, click on the State Police link. And, yes, he's still at large.

To be honest, this isn't really a Boston story. Yes, he drove into town for some late-night liquor, which is why I wrote what I did, but it's really more of a Peabody story, so I haven't gone into great detail on it.

My deductions based on news reports:
Doughty reportedly lived with friends on 114, across the street from the abandoned house searched by Danvers police, and a 5 minute walk to Haileys restaurant where the carjacking occurred.
He obviously remained or returned to this area as he carjacks Mr. Metz in the parking lot just after it turns dark.
If I were the police, I would have used some thermal detection equipment in the surrounding wooded areas of those 2 homes in the search they performed.
Currently, I would be interviewing his friends at the 114 address to determine if they were hiding or abetting him. He had to eat, sleep and shower somewhere or Mr. Metz would have noticed his hygiene (sweating and living on the street since Sat night).
Also, reports are that the victims were shot. He only used a pen knife in the car jacking. So he may no longer have a gun.
Conflicting reports on dismemberment - how could he and Hebb not be completely covered in blood - another reason Mr. Doughty must have changed clothes somewhere. I suspect the 114 house.

Wondering which Peabody liquor store was a 'stone throw' from the crime scene where Doughty stopped last night. Duddy's on route 1 ? I doubt So Peabody liquor, too far from route into Boston. Anybody know?
