The Charlestown Patriot-Bridge reports the owner of five "SuperDucks" is trying to offload the vehicles after getting out of the tour business because it just wasn't making money.
Their best bet may be to try to get Boston Harbor Cruises to buy a few of them. I could see them jumping between the Boston Harbor Islands. I am not sure how deep sea they can go... but if they could make it to Ptown I could see them going for a premium for a cruise down to the Cape and then having the ability to be dropped off somewhere more inland than the docks.

Of course they don't make money
The "SuperDucks" are the big boxy ones made especially for tour bus purposes that don't have that vintage 40's charm.

Their best bet may be to try a scrapyard
You realize they are entirely NOT seaworthy, and can't even be safely used on rivers and lakes?
Different beasts
These are modern creations meant to increase the amphibious tour capacity.
The problem with harbor islands is that they need to drive out on a ramp - they don't dock.
Better Harbor Islands access plan
Wait 10 years, then buy the Seaport gondola equipment and then have gondolas out to the islands!
I wonder how hard it would be
I wonder how hard it would be to turn one into an RV? Go-anywhere camping comfort, and I can park it in my front yard to make the neighbors mad!
I like it
Take it out to a mooring = instant houseboat camping!
If the Red Sox win the World Series
maybe some players will buy them as memorabilia, like pitcher Jake Peavy did in 2013.
